Graduation:
This is a salute to Destiny,
Who means the world to Mom and me.
On this occasion…
graduation day,
There are so many things I’d like to say.
We couldn’t be prouder of all she’s done,
So for the time being….let us have some fun.
So many accomplishments…so little time,
To get them all into this graduation rhyme.
When Destiny speaks,
It’s all a blur,
No one we know speaks faster than her!
And when she texts…her fingers are flying,
She could do it in her sleep……without even trying!
A Rehearsal Dinner Toast:
My name is Paula….I’m the mother of the groom,
I’m a little overwhelmed as I look about the room.
I must confess,
A bit nervous too,
But Joe and I are delighted to welcome all of you.
On this special occasion….before Melanie and Matthew wed,
I’ve got a few things that need to be said.
At the Old Silver Tavern, they lost their hearts.
Who could imagine what was about to start?
Unenthusiastic,
On a rainy night,
Never figuring that sparks would ignite.
They went out as a group and came home a pair,
And both Melanie and Matthew were walking on air.

About two remarkable people; I know them pretty well!

Stories galore,

On their special Anniversary…the big 5-0,
Here are a few things, I’d like you to know.
If you look up the word “social” in the dictionary,
I’m sure a picture of Rose and Carmen, you’ll see.
Do they ever stay home?
No!….without a doubt,
They’re constantly on the go… out and about.
Every night of the week, plans abound,
Don’t try to call them….they’re never around!
They’re known to have a competitive streak,
Displayed at the bowling lanes on Friday…each week.
The Elks Club,
Where they belong,
Is the place to attend parties and activities all year long.
They go off on bus trips which they think are great,
And have visited every state in the contiguous forty-eight.
